BBC -> BGC

The last day of 23 felt indifferent to the other 364 days while I am still 23. Wake up without brushing my teeth (15 years in a row), without washing my face(15 years in a row as well). Had an average day at work, the fact that I am still shared between departments projects a mixed feeling inside. On the + side, whenever I work at NZ team, I got to go home 4:30, like today and possibly tomorrow. 4:30pm, yumm.

Had a talk with parents tonight, they seem all well. Mum really enjoys her visit to dad. Recall: my family has 3 members, we all live in different cities. 1000km apart from each other minimum. Formed a very large triangle. So after all, they are spending more time together, when they retire, they'd be spending time all in one city. Sometimes work forces family to physically seperate temp.

I was going to clean my room, but after the two phone calls and few recordings, I am craving for bed now. Many think I should celebrate tomorrow, I say I'll go swimming.

By the way, this is the last post for this "Expression at the Age of 23" series. "Expression at the Age of 24 would start to serve as my main blog from tomorrow.

10 Questions

on 25th Sep 2004, I created a post under the same title. (details see http://bohan22.blogspot.com/)

The following 10 Questions are meant be answered by myself near the end of Sep 06. In actual fact, they can only be answered that time:

Just before B o h a n turn 25 (end of Sep 2006), how would he answer those mysterious qusetions that have no definte answers @ end of Sep 2005: (I copied those from last year's post)

Q1: If I were still single by the end of next Sep, that simply means single for 31 months in a row. That is not acceptable. So I am not asking myself to answer the question: Will you find someone special finally? I am demanding myself to say yes to this question definitely before I am 25. So the answer must be yes.

Q2: I am having a good time with my new role in Acer, next year this time, the contract would be one year old, I'll also have my 2nd pay rise in July. Would I progress again to a more senior position? It's like playing RPG (Role Playing Games, the longer you play, the higher rank you get), again, I hope the answer is yes.

Q3: Will I leave Kingsford? I don't think so. But a year later, who knows.

(Copied from last year)
Q4: Will I drive before I turn 24?
Answer: (To Come Sep 05)
Current Wish: Absolutely. Ferrari. (kidding)

NO, I still can't drive! Damn it. Q4: Will I drive before I turn 25?
Same with Q1, I demand the answer to be yes.

(Copied from last year)
Q5. Will my weight pass 65kg before I turn 24?
Answer: (To Come Sep 05)
Current Wish: Reaching 65KG constantly, my optium weight.

NO, I still under 65kg. But I am progressing, I am contant 62-ish.
Q5: Will I adapt a more active life style, more gym session and pass 65kg mark?

Q6: Will my parents retire? (again it's the same Q6 I asked 12 months ago)
I am asking again, simply because they didn't retire.

Q7: Will any thing special happen to my friends?

Q8: Who I'd be sharing flat with?

Q9: Night phobia - anyone?

Q10: Eventful year or not?

Like last year, I might just paste again the little poem Brett Welch and me wrote together:

No one knows what the future holds, but your warm embrases provides the sign. It maybe just myself being foolish wishing it may never end. Summer is gone, fall then winter. I would miss every moment of it. In the heat of summer sunshine, I miss you like no body else. In the heat of summer sunshine, I kiss you and no body needs to know.

Parker Sonnet

Impulsive Buying ... Peter's Kensington. A 23k gold plated Parket Sonnet BP. I know a lot of people don't give a damn about pens. They simply don't know why a pens should cost more than few dollars. Let me finish my story first.

I was trying to find some pics of my newly acquired baby, then find a cool story about Attack of the Clones, China made Parker Sonnet (Fake vs Real). The above, shows the fake one's engraving, PAYING ATTENTION TO THE SERIF on S. See it's crooked. SO I checked my instantly. PHEW, it was a real one. :D this thing is like bling bling, too gold. My young 26 yr old ABC female boss have the same gold gold BP from Cross, the same series I gave to green nearly 2 years ago.

Look at the following poster:

This is an advertisement for Mont Blank's new roller ball in 1988! And guess what, the same design is still sold in all Mont Blanc Boutique. I am fortunate enough being given one when I was 18 from my dad (albeit the fact I lost it on a bus, and didn't tell my parents the truth, few years later, bought another one at half price from a cash converter for 250.) Few would care if it's really black precious resin or simply black plastic. I always thought it's plastic, till one day I read it somewhere, it's natrual black resin, hand polished ... I tend to say, "A Mont Blanc is forever..." De Beers have monopoly on Diamond, but not all knows about it, isn't that weird. People tend to recognize Michael Hills Jewels better.

Sheaffer, my all time favourite just after Mont Blanc. It's famous for its double diamond design, and the fact many famous American writers wrote their short fictions using Sheaffer. I always remember my first Sheaffer fountain pen, dark green, it's square-round bottom is awesome. The photo shown above is the Sheaffer Legacy remake, upcoming soon @ just 495US. When it's coming to Australia market, it's defintely worth a look. By the way, photo shot by Canon 20D, just for those photo heads.

Before I move on, have a look at the above model. Rare model, believe or not, it's 42 YEARS OLD, made in 1963, note worthy is the design is still used in today's Top of the line Sheaffer Legacy. So in a way, sheafer's design's timeless. It's hard to imagine if someone can do Pen designer for life, if there only need few changes a century... Gold on green, simply elegant.

The following are just examples that, pen is not just pen, they are art pieces. The piece showing above is solid GOLD, hand carved. Beautifully done. I can forsee myself, getting more pens when my wage pass 50 mark. I can see myself, have a large collection of fine pens before I retire. Everyone has their hobby, I guess fine stationary always been mine since I was a teen.

Anything Google Recommends are COOL!

Photo (C) Bohan 05

Doesn't matter how many good reviews Picasa had in the past, I don't bother download it and give it try. UNTIL Google bought it and included it on its front page. The same way I discover Keyhole and Google Print which equally RULES. It's amzazing how well Picasa works. It's like MODERN, contempoary piece of software, when compare to photoshop 6 or ACDSee 7, everything falls in the right places. Amazing! Everyone can get their copy and try it at google.com

RODE NT1000

Guess what I found at my office draw today. A beautiful 300US Rode NT1000 Large Diaphram Microphone. And I am going to use it everyday from now.

Like a boy found a new toy, I was running around telling my director, how great that mic is. To my surprise, little do they know existance of such mic, buried inside, together with other goodies, 2 Photo Umbrellas... This is like dream come true, and not to mention the fabulous 48V, mic pre-amp. A lot of fun to come.

Challenge do come, Interactive Flash, 360 degree product view... like putting proxy on the network, I need to research on this too, the difference, it's of my interest.

That is right, if you count, that is 77 days in-a-row.
and Saturday, 17 September, I am OFF WORK finally. Amazing 77 days. I will soon enjoy my 6 days a week week. rather than 7 days a week week :D.

Meeting Rob Schneider

Today has been GREAT. The weather on Friday night made me wonder: WHY WHY WHY, why you have to rain so hard, tomorrow is my first day off after working 77 days in a row. I was hoping for a sunny day going out drawing with Fay. It just rained and rained.

When I wake up this morning, something amazed me, it is the sunshine, completely uncluttered with clouds. Beautiful day, Fay and I we walked and walked in those bu-la-vards, drawing, drinking, eating. It's just been lovely weather, (albeit, bit chilly).

Few hours later... I was in Surry Hills dining with friends. And here it comes Rob Schneider, just inches away drinking beer in the bar. Rebecca is highly excited, ask me for a pen, where I have no idea, "What for?" - soon enough, i know why. Rob looks exactly like Rob Schneider, it's quite faithful portrait on tv vs. live. Very similiar indeed, though bit short, but I guess Rebecca still excited to get his signiture. Jenny is quick enough to get a photograph. Haven't seen celebrity in years. I really wonder what it feels like to be a celebrity.

My POWERFUL Acer Veriton

Dual Pentium 4 Processor (3.4 GHz each)
1 GB DDR Ram
250 GB HDD
ATI Raidon X Pro 256MB (400 Mhz, FAST)
Mistubishi Diamond Pro 2060 (20 inch, 120Hz Refresh Rate)
Creative Audio Extingy Sound Card (24bit, 108db SNR)

Acer Veriton series is targeted at business / goverment / educational market. Occassionally, multimedia powerhouse for bobo.

Take the bloody first one.

After YEARS experience catching public transport. I concluded some principles that not only can be applied to transport but also to LIFE. "Take the first one coming to you."

There are numerous scenarios made me realise, that is the way to go.

Scene 1: Imagine you are in Central, waiting for 39x to take you home. (which comes in 20 min say). There are about 3 other buses would come before 39x, 377, 372, ... But you didn't take it, because they don't take you back exactly to where you live. So you see all these buses went before your eyes, you just wait there for the 39x to come. YES, it comes, with 15+ standing passengers, the bus went without stopping. - What does that tell us? You waste time waiting for some special bus, which you think is the BEST one, but you missed out on other buses which could take you to destination earlier.

Don't wait for dream bus, take the first available alternative. Don't wait for the dream job, take the first available alternative (and then eventually, you'll find the right job, after take the first available alternative for 2 months, that's what I did, proven to be the right choice.). Don't wait for your dream girl, take the first available alternative, and you'll find yourself a much happier person.

私は今理解した

Dad is not overly charby as Simpson, yet. Mum took this shot last weekend, somewhere North China. Understandably the restriction of land, made Golf Club membership pass $10,000 US mark. Who's playing there? The Koreans, of course.

I start to realise, there is no need to push anything if the other doesn't feel the same. Say a friend called you ask you about something, if you care about this friend a great deal, you might do some research for him tomorrow. If you are more than caring to this friend, say you admire this friend, you might do it for him / her some time tonight. If you dying to see this person, then you might stumble something like: Give me a sec, I will call you back in 10 min.

And what you do in this 10 min. You call people that you think who might possesss the answer. Now this is like CHAIN REACTION, if someone dying to see you, then they may process your query in 10 min, or if they are your caring friends, they'd respond "hey, bohan. I will try to get back to you before weekend." But you know what, someone get back to me less than 10 min. That tells me a lot about that person in relation to me, and tell me a lot about the person who asked me the question initial, with relationship to me. ENGLISH ENGLISH.

So, what's the point? iPod Nano is the way to go. No, I mean if the person whoever called me back in 10 min with an answer ask me the same question, i probably wouldn't get back until tomorrow. The point, there is an imbalance, and Libra needs balance.

THE CSE REVUE 2005 - is the 4th installment since 2002 (original CSE Revue), 2003 (Reloaded), 2004 (Starky and Hutch), 2005 (Sin CSE). Can't wait to see CSE Revue 2006.

Glad to see all the new faces, great, dance remind me of those rehearsal nights I had in 2003, quite surprised I did manage to go home alone all those late nights, comfortably in 2003.

COMBAT the fear within - SPIDER MAN!

A massive spider was spotted this morning when I wake up. Measuring 8-10 cm. Liz is great in terms of catching it bravely and release them to the backyard. Seeing spider up-close, it's kinda Eee. But I did it. Using my favourite Pasta storer. Now he is being captured, I'll release him shortly.

Next Sat, I will finally have a day off on the 17th Sep.

MAPabc is the next big thing!

Map is nothing new. But Google Map is something new, the popularity of new-era map is soring. The ability to see details of what's on each street is amazing. Google recently teamed up with Mapabc, in a bid to bring China's complex street directory to the internet. From this map above, I could see my high school, and all those mad shops we go after school hours. Viewing the map can actually bring back memories, that's the magic it does.

i-Trigue 3600

Computer Affairs is on Square House today (UNSW). Excellent, though raining hard outside.

It's not just the sound, it's the appearance that counts. When you look at your computer everyday, seeing something classy, makes you go Mmm...

RRP: $299 Computer Affairs: $150 (absolutely cheap, i.e.) I decided to reward myself once a month with one gardget from computer affairs. Next months, I am looking at a Printer or Soundcard.

Flora is going to Perth now, 65K for a graduate job. Jesus, sometimes, mark isn't everything. Happy father's day to all.

Scent and Our Brain

Created in 1994 Dunhill is described to be a refined woody arid fragrance. This masculine scent possesses a blend of lemon lavender wood and musk. It is recommended for evening wear.

There are all sorts of occupation in the world. One of highly specialised occupation is scent specialist. To be qualified, you need to be born with really sensitive nose. What you do everyday to get paid six figure income is to smell.

Smell for perfumes, able to distinguish the fine difference between flowers 1 and flowers 2...etc. It must be an aweful job. After smell four five, different perfumes by the same manufacturer, I am already feeling null in my nose. That's why they have loads of Coffee Beans in those perfume store. Coffee beans alone is a wonderful scent. I personally like it better than the coffee itself. Coffee Beans neutralise the perfume smells, make you able to smell again after some intensive testing.

Dunhill D is my all time favourite, but very hard to get nowadays in Sydney. Even though knowing, they are making 100%+ profit on perfume, I still a firm genunie perfume believer. After Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc, last night I start wearing Dunhill. (below)

Desire Blue
by Dunhill

This aquatic, amber-like fragrance was inspired by a man's self awareness. The fresh, deep notes of bergamot and orange flower water impart a sparkling dimension while amber crystals, musk, and tonka bean warm and soothe the sense.

ORANGE - INDEED. I have to say, those people who wrote these are highly skillful to manipulate people's imagination. By the way, the part in our brain controls scent is closely located to our memory part. That's why sometimes one smell can remind us of someone all of sudden.

GPK

Drink is good. I was happy until the moment I saw JJ. Not happy. Anyhow, tomorrow night going to dine out again. This afternoon went very well. I look forward to tomorrow morning's meeting with Charles, who generously granted the department a new SLR and a video camera.

That comment makes me laugh

I was reading that two comments on my previous post. They are halirious, I roughly know who wrote it. It was just delightful to read. I would be shared in the coming week. I need to work in two different departments interchangably. My manager is sad to have me go, as he is sure I can get bonus if I stay. I am very thankful for what he did for me, but e-Academy is something I really want to do, regardless the pay.

I really want to have dinner with someone tonight ... but I end up buying sea food together with a friend at city. Aim made me install Google Talk, but now it's been two weeks, I still havne't had a chance to talk anyone on google talk. Ai ya ya.

I asked Mincong, what would you prefer, if you have to make a choice? "To fail a course? or to fail a relationship?" - She chose the latter where I chose the first option without 2nd thought.

However, today if someone ask me the question, "Do you prefer to Win the heart of the girl of your dream? or Get the e-Academy Studio Assistant Manager position tomorrow afternoon 4:30?"

I'll quite frankly chose the latter one with the same certainly as grEen once did.

Friend's Mum

I feel really warm tonight, inside. When guy told me that Teresa is happy to give me driving lessons. It is only a week ago, I told them that everyone else can have their mum teach them to drive, but my mum is overseas, I can't have mum here to teach me. NowTeresa is willing to teach me to drive, I feel really warm as in I felt someone is caring about me, someone I am not very familiar with, friend's mum.

Good on ya, Advertising people.

Amazingly they discovered the word 'Shipload' instead of 'Shi*load'. So just now on TV, you can hear something like, "Hey, if you wish to save Shipload of money on Shipload of capert, call 1800 ...." There are shipload load of people are in that industry.

Today, we are going to talking about BLINKING EYES. Human's eye are designed so well, every time you blink, it evenly distributes tear on the eyeball, lubricate at the same time. It takes 0.02 to do one blink. But if you watch closely, PEOPLE ON TV blink far far far less often than we do in real life, sometimes, they don't even blink.

Friday Night Live

Scott is really nice and helpful, he has been working at Acer for more than two years now. (Left) is an impressive Simpson collection he had near his desk.

Working ethics is something starts to hit me. For many, the beliefs are, company is ripping us off by paying too little. Well, that's capitalism, employer earns more than the employee for doing similar works. Then again, ethics is ethics. Now here is what I observed, people surfing the internet at work, trying to take things from work, trying not to come work and said they are sick (I guess it's so common make 'calling sick' a bad name), rip the company off as much as possible... and worse of all, I think is, after done all these, they think it's fair, they think they are entitled to all these.

"You know, super market factor shop lifting into their prices. So if you are not shop lifting, it's like giving them money for free." - That is some logic.

I am one of the two new guys in NZ tech support team. In the beginning, the other one is definitely out perform me, work tirelessly and perform impressively in front of the supervisor. However, few weeks later, things changed just like my other collegues predicted, performance dropped, he started to do the 'normal things' everyone else is doing.

I don't have a huge problem over this, it's just that, seeing someone surfing web forum on their desktop all day long, it's just not great working ethics. However, I guess our department is too bad, compare to some other company. My ex ex ex is working at CommSec, said that she would sometimes have half day free, don't know what to do. In a way, that indicates redundency, redundency leads to job cuts. That's why it's not hard to imagine how HP, Kodak can cut down personnels on large scale this year. For their size, there bound to be a lot redundency in each department.

The new-now-smaller desk still fits me fine, small but cosy. I moved my favourite dictionary into my office, the OALD VI. (Oxford Adavanced Learner's Dictionary). So sometimes when I am off the case, I can read an entry or two. Did I tell anyone that I fancy dictionary while I was in High School, I proudly own seven paper based dictionaries back then.

Today is a busy day at Lidcome station, games on tonight. Why they call the Platform 1, the SPRINT PLATFORM, it's for a reason, sometimes you literally need to sprint to catch the train there.

(Right), on the millinieum train, it takes so long to grow those mastash. Gee, the spelling. Here is how it works, the more you cut them, the faster they grow. If you only cut those long black ones down, they getting thicker and thicker... imbalance. The difference is, OZ seem to grown those over night, where it could take asian weeks to grow. If possible, I would like to be as hairy as monkey, hair everywhere. It's a MALE thing.

Knox Grammar

I was in serious doubt when I was handling a case with Knox Grammar at work, when the tech guy over there claim they have 2000 laptops. But today I had a read the news paper, it seem to be quite close to the truth. Say if it's 1000 per laptop, they spent 2M on student's laptop. DAMN YOU! That's more laptops than all CSE computers put together, in 1 HIGH SCHOOL. Every student in Knox has been given a laptop to use, where we sometimes have to wait to find a machine in the lab. Ai ya ya.

Now, what's Thai princess's name:
Ms. Siriwanwaree Nareeratana

(I am deadly serious), imagine everytime she greets people.

Some depressing news: England 1:4 Denmark
More depressing news: A 26 yr old man was walking along Canterbury Rd near Troy St at Campsie when two men approached him ans asked for the time about 11pm yesterday. As he tried to walk past them, the pair grabbed him and threw him against a nearby car. He tried to flee and was struck with the baseball bat several times as he lay on the ground. He was then stabbed up to four times by a screw driver. The attackers fled after taking the man's backpack. The man staggered to his nearby home where he called police and paramedics. He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital suffering damage to his lungs and was today recoverying in a stable condition.

Who did it? - 20 yr old Asian man with long dark hair and a australian teenager. Ai ya ya.

On a side note, I am so glad I asked Frand to also gave Crystal a lift home, I don't want her to wait in the bus stop 10pm at night after work. You see, I went to work for Frank largely because he is looking after me (as in give me regular five hour sunday shift at $27/hr.) So in return, I would help him out when it's mostly busy. Looks like I might work every Thursday night now too, but Frank would always give me a lift home which is not too too bad.

JEEPERS...

Trump Blog + Yahoo buys Alibaba

NEW YORK - Lock up your toupées: Donald Trump has started a new
life as a blogger.

The multi-billionaire's blog is connected to Trump University, an
education Web site Trump launched in May.

"It'll be reflective of what's topical in the news, business and
education, [though] he won't tackle popular culture or
entertainment. Everybody wants to hear what he's up to next,"
said Michael Sexton, president of Trump University.

Some might disagree. The blog will receive its own formal launch
some time in the next week. - I wonder what will he write.

-----------------------------------------------

BEIJING - Yahoo will reportedly pay $US1 billion for a 35 per
cent stake of China's second-largest e-commerce operator,
Alibaba.com. Yahoo's China operation will be taken over by
Alibaba under the deal, potentially creating an e-commerce giant.

The move echoes Yahoo's Japanese business, where it owns 33
percent, and Softbank has 42pc. Alibaba's China operations
include a B2B e-commerce site, and the TaoBao online auction
site, a competitor to eBay in China.

I have quite few words to say about this case, $1b US, no kidding. Of course, you wouldn't be too surprised if you don't know the founder of the company. It is said each one of us in this world has six degree of seperation, we can reach one another through six person. It takes 2 for me to reach one of the founder of Alibaba.com

I remember I was still a teenager, my uncle He (He is a surname in China), is telling me how his friends from uni are forming this new company called Alibaba. He came from Beijing University 北大(The best in China = same level as Tsing Hua清华) People from those uni normally do great things, and now Yahoo's 1b US seems to prove it. And those guys are still in their early 30s. Uncle He often says that he is not as 'adventurous' as his uni mates, or otherwise, he can do better. Well, I think he's already doing very well for his age, before 30, he already made few million dollars ($au). Though, in many cases it is on the edge of 'crossing the line' like what we saw on TV here (ex-commedian, Telstra's ex-board, insider trading ...) But then again, it's common in the world of stock market.

The pattern goes on, Dad often said that he wishes he could be younger, so he can be as adventurous as uncle He, once again, I think Dad did quite well considering he start to earning 'real' money after 35. Before 35, there are culture revolution, limited opportunity. I think I'd be lucky if I can beat his income level before I reach 30. Mind you, he works in China.

I went to Brett's fair well dinner tonight, even though I hate travel at night, I still enjoyed the visit to Chatswood Chalsea. Brett is leaving for Beijing, he's going to spend lovely 6 months there, I really envy him. I told him, hiring a maid only cost 1200 RMB per months, Brett and Eddie are very happy with this news. Hiring a maid here is kind not an realistic option.

Chatswood station is destroyed. I just discover that, wonder what's the new chatswood station would look like.

VMT:PMT = 4:1

Today, the VMT (Vechicle Moving Time) is particularly bad at 60 minutes, the ratio between VMT and PMT(People Moving Time) is 4:1, pretty good for traveling back home, results 1:15 hr for me to get back home.

Does the above make any sense? Say everyday from your home door to your school lab door / office door -> TTM (Total Travel Time), and that equals = VMT + PMT, VMT is the time when you are on the bus / train. PMT is the time you are moving or waiting.

GREATER ratio means more efficient transport. Normally during morning, I can achieve 5:1 VMT:PMT meaning I only spent 1/6 of the time walking / waiting for transport. That's remarkable considering I need to take 1 bus, 2 trains to get to work every morning.

The VMT:PMT ratio also is a deciding factor to help people make rational decision whether to buy a car or not. Say when VMT:PMT < 3:1, say 2:1, then buying a car, can dramatically improve the efficiency of your transport to work / study.

Who the heck came up with this? - who else? me ^_^

ABS is particular impressive, as it not only tells us there are 1319 ASSAULTS, 383 Robberies, 989 Stealing and 138 Sex Offences reported during April 04 to March 05 (12 months) on the Sydney Train system, it also tells us more than 30 people died in 2004, watering their Xmas tree. (While the light is on).

By no mean, I am trying to mock at those people, I feel deeply sorry about those who died for that cause, considering it's xmas time, the family must be devasted. Unfortunately, media try to use it as a joke, which I think is not much respectful to those. Those things, we would say 'pretty rare'. but how rare is it? - ABS has the answer.

1319 ASSULTS on train in 12 months. Every day Sydneysider will experience Violence on train, your chance is literally 1 in 1 million. As reported 4 million people frequently use City Rail. But how about ASSULTS in KINGSFORD? - Unfortunately, this is all classified. It's not hard to guess why.

Statistics - how many people would pass a Statistics course, without going to the 90% final exam (as well as not attending the supplementary exam) since 1990 in UNSW? - My guess would be > 40. Quite high actually, 0.2 - 1% of the stats student would have this luck. & I am one of them. :)

We are pretty lucky in a way

Human is generally short sighted in way that they only live 100 years or less. One Dynasty would seem to be forever. Most of my friends have been this world for 20 years. What a LUCKY 20 years. The cold war is over, no atomic bomb is dropped, no blood sheds. So, generation X, Y's perception towards the world is slightly different to our grandparents. The world is mainly peaceful. Economy is growing faster than the past 20 centuries. The focus of life is shifting from 'stay alive' to 'stay alive differently.'

Australia seem to be a safe place, quiet & pieceful. But then again, it's merely been 60 years or so, since we last been bombed by Japanese. Who knows when Australia soil would be invaded? The last emperor of China, QING DYNASTY lasted astonishing 500 years. So if 20 years feel like forever, imagine what would people believe if they were born, and their parents are born and their grand, grand grand parents are born in the QING DYNASTY.

The perception of the world and life would be ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. SBS is broadcasting about the new clear bomb (nuclear bomb, i.e.) dropped in Japan. Where countless innocent died in Japan, Allies agree it end the war faster, save way more life than those would die if the war continues.

P E A C E - may it be with us, always.

Initial D

Jay Chou's performance in Initial D is quite impressive. An inspiring movie by the same producer who produced "Infernal affairs" - Well, the movie is good, but I don't think those who race at midnight at Kingsford or the Rocks are quite the same. You love those in the movie, but not quite for those who wake you from your dream 2am in the morning. Isn't it contradictory.

Court Ave - never walked to the other side of Kingsford, outer Kingsford, the other half of Meek St. which ironically being named something else, even though it is the same street. Quiet, sounds from birds filled the space. Warm sun, green grass. I have to say, it changes my perspective about Kingsford. One reason people get depress more in winter vs summer is that the amount of SUNSHINE intake is less in Winter. So expose your eye under natrual sun light for some time in a day can help you reduce stress.

Just came back from Gym + Outer Kingsford walk, feels great. You feel alive in Gym. Most people don't do fitness test. Fit /= Big, Big /= Fit. Say someone is really big, but doesn't mean he is fit. One classical measure methods is to see how fast your body can recover. Young people are more fit than old ones, because their body recover faster.

Say you rev up your heart 185BPM, then for a marathon runner, the heart rate after 3 minutes -> dramatically drop down to 90 BPM, but for me, it still stays high at 120BPM. How fast your body can recover indicates how fit you are.

However, most people don't bother to download a fitness test program, where detailed instruction is given how to test your fitness level in a 15 min session. However, dump proof version is available, there is one I saw on the MX newspaper, states, how fit are you?

Try to run 12 minutes, and see how far you can run.

If you finish (in 12 minutes):

>2.35km - Superior
2.19 - 2.35km - Excellent
? - 2.19 - Good
? - Fair
? - Poor (I forgot)

According to such scheme, I fit into excellent - 2.20 km in 12 minutes. The one I have done in high school which is more accurate - Good that is.

I keep on bumping into Feni's sister and mistakenly it's Feni. Feni works downstairs in E-Commerce. Her sister looks so similar though not twin. TALK ABOUT TWINS, Angela and Anthea - My piano tutor, an architect from UNSW, who just revamped CLB, looks identical to her sister. Once she went to US for exchange, and we met her sister: "You came back so soon." Gee. Parents consider the striking similar appearance, bought 2 Yamaha grand in the same lounge rooms.

my ADVANCED dream machine

I should have bought this 5 years earlier, that can save me 1500 morning paining get out of bed. Most alarm is instrusive, so intrusive that you wish to turn it off. It's always best to wake 'gradually'. And this unit does that, 5:55am it starts play Secret garden via incremental volume -> then 6:10am, it automatically switch to 103.2 Christian Radio where mono-tone speaker speaks vermon that makes me jump out of the bed, then 2 minutes after, he'll finish his speech, lovely christian music would be on. (and it's clever, it does not on Weekend) Yeah, get one, then you'll love it.

The beautiful Tasmania sea. I have 3000 photos not sorted from the NSW-QLD-TAS-ACT trip with mum and grandpa. This is just one of them.

Though Golf is always over priced, but people are still buying it. I just don't dig it.

ps: Times after times, we see crowded train, esp during morning and 5pm in the afternoon. However, this normally applies to those who lives in remote area who works at city. As for me, who lives in Eastern surbub who travels to remote area to work. Benefit: always empty train (to work, and go home).

Bins? Where?

Have anyone noticed that there isn’t no RUBBISH BIN inside train stations. And they say DON’T BE A TOSSER and provide no bins. We want to sue Boost Juice outside our store in Pagewood. Everyday, we have to clean up to 20 empty Boost Juice’s bottle. Customer simply chooes to leave them on the floor or shopping shelves. Sometimes, they are ‘merciful’ leaving only empty ones on the floor. Other time, they left half full bottle which later being knocked down, JUICE EVERYWHERE. Mind you, we have 5 BINS in the store. If Central has 1 bins, we have 400% more, yet people little more in Big W than central… Hey, maybe we should introduce a $250 fine.

The day we hit the Japanese CEO

It was certainly not a shinny day. Mum and I were driving to Carefore (a french mega-store opened in Gupei area in Shanghai, where we bought a small investment apartment). The area is fairly fancy largely because few celebs lives there. That day, mum is leaving the car park. AND THERE HE IS, an old Japanese dude in a suite. We hit him @ roughly 5km/hr.

Oh, yes, here he goes. I mean he gets very angry, but he can't speak Chinese. He has a CANE! He walk to us, I 'cooly' press the button, the windows all up. (Not a wise move, proven afterwards). You know, for those who watch Japanese Drama, if it happens in Japan, the young dude which is me, suppose to come out of the car and bend down my back, and do a full apologize and probably even a speech.

He gets even ANGRIER, the CANE surely came handy, KNOCK! KNOCK! directly at me, GEE, if it's not the window, it'll hit my head. What a violent Japanese old gentlemen! I give up, I wind down the window, trying to speak to him. But what can he say, he can't speak Chinese, so I tried English, nope, doesn't work. Magically, after speaking English to him for a few minutes, he let us go with a name card, says CEO of ********, Gupei, Shanghai.

Oh, mum was worried, you know in Shanghai anything goes. Few story invovle fake Jap exec, pretend to be hit and get huge compensation ... etc. Luckily this one isn't the case. The following day, we made a apologitic phone call to his assitant, and sent some flowers, he is fine. He mentioned that what angers him is that the young man (which is me) winds up the window.

-_- alas, it was my fault, look back, I was pretty immature to deal with the situation. HOWEVER, on the other side of the story, when Japanese is occupying Shanghai, shameful history that is. They didn't treat us with the least respect. They kill people without law, tear babies into parts in a bid to show how strong is their muscle, and mind you, it's all documented. Things such as Black Sun 711 project (which is human lab in short), is never known in Japan's own soil.

ANNOYINGLY, few of my Australian friends think that my government exggerated all the infor such as 300,000 people massacre in Nan Jing in a day.. etc because China and Japan was once enemy, hence China would intentionally make Japan looks bad.. WELL, the thing is, not only China, Korea and many other Asian country has same attitude towards Japan's attitude in war, it's not becaues we simply don't like them, it's because what they have done.

Now, I don't want to get too political here, just a point to make, history is there. Documentary are there too. Just becaues you didn't see the documentary, just because one country appear to be modern, democratic NOW, doesn't mean they didn't do terrible things in the past.

I like Japan in many ways, their culture, arts, esp Arts, Tv Dramas. Wonderful stuffs. But just some parts of history is hard to forget. I was previoulsy going to say, if a old Chinese driver hit that dude, he might not stop at all, he might just run over him. My grandpa's generation normally dislike them, where younger generation like me, my sisters we love Japan's new image and developed economy.

Another side of story

Some not quite agree with the previous reason regarding 'why Carr quits?' - NSW seems to be the highest Taxed state, yet the public infrastructure rate low against other leading state? (how many states we have) like Trains, Bus, Hospital .. etc.

Now only that, after the mega tax, Sydney Transit evilly rely on the inelastic demand in public transport, increase price marginally every now and then to maximise profit. Yet, the train is late, bus is old. (Well, true they employed quite a few new buses, but the review of those new buses are not as great as those old Benzes, yes we love the Benz buses). The only thing I am satisfied is the Millieum Train, muffled cabin, sublime suspension give hotel level of comfort.

Yes, so in another word, NSW is doing great in other area, but tax - infrastructure is not so great, so to make it easier for the next premier in NSW, it's best Bob quits and so let public start to used to the new guy... ... Doesn't matter why he quits, the chances are he will not reveal it publicly about it.

More employee benefits

Today I stayed back a little while. We have some what five six cases of games in our team. Each case has 10 - 20 boxed version of hot games. Free Games, that's right.

That wasn't a fasinating shot. My hair looks ridiculous. But anyway, I was holding my games of the day: Impossible Creatures and Rise of the Nation. Pretty happy to bring those home tonight after some reunion with old friends from law.

I am now sitting in this korean internet cafe under Macers in Geogre st. I think they are doing very well, though the computer turn everything into Korean. So I have to use Gmail and Blogger using Korean interface T_T.

Had a pretty good week. "Congratulations, you are now permanent." Yeah, I rather you put me on 6 months contract. I hope my boss is not reading this, or I might be fired tomorrow. To be fair, my boss has being very helpful and kind to me and trying to get me out of contract as soon as he could. I am looking forward to be permanent, just that I can get a security tag, so every morning, when I show up 7am in front of the complex, don't have to wait. And with a security tag, I can show friends around the complex after hours, so long as it's not too late, so people thinking we are stealing. We are an office as well as warehouse ... stock worth 100 million + But as Acer's traditional culture, they hired some second rate security company to do the protection.

WHY BOB CARR quits? The naive bohan has no clue. Until a friend gave him some insight. Following the bombing incidents, Bob really can't guarentee that it won't happen in Sydney. Who said Bob doesn't want to be the PM, but if he stays now, and bomb happens, it goes his dream. Rather it's a good idea of quiting now with all glory, and he can always come back later if he wants to. Well, I thought it's a pretty cool explanation. And to get this conclusion, I think it's fairly insightful. Maybe that's why they hire business analyst. Have to learn how to think criticially.

Why think? - "I used to think, now I read Economist."

CSE Revue 2005

CSE Revue is four years old now. It's a great show that I never regret took part in. The time comes again for decisions and commitment, commitment and choice. Between W and Revue, I can only take one. In another word, I have to give up 8 hours sleep as well as Big W everyday for the 270 minutes stage time. Of course, the revue is more than that, more than stage, there is the incredible experience await every cast.

I need to make up my mind. Someone can influence me over this, but that someone is not going to comment. So, I have to decide myself.

See, if Fay were going out with me, then I can crash at Ghosting College after rehearsal 11pm ... Or alternatively I was thinking if JJ did move out last month, I can ask Jamie to move in for $110 no bills. So after rehearsal, we could go home together, via bicycle mayebe. I might end up with 6 hours sleep every night, and working, rehearsal 60 hours + during August and September.

Keyhole -> MSN

There was Keyhole, then Google Earth. Now, MSN Virtual Earth... This is massively popular because it makes whomever dreamt of flying happy. Next time when you use Whereis.com.au, you may see your friends' house photos straight away, virtual driving direction which can be downloaded to your car ... etc.

I was on the wheelchair sometimes...

"Arrived Sydney this morning. I was on the wheelchair sometimes, esp at BKK airport because it's too far for me to walk."

When I first read it today, I thought it's novel or something, but it is not. It's our Aim we all know who's just had an operation in Thailand. Isn't that worrying.. GOOD NEWS, Aim started her own Blog

@ http://spaces.msn.com/members/bohan <- and that's mine.

I started my first blog on 14 June 03 - once you pop, you can't stop. I really think blog is a way of much prohibited 'self-talk'. You can't self-talk in public without being marked as 'different', but you can blog and still stay as 'normal', guess that's why people like it.

I just feel it's super handy if your friend has a blog, before you talk them, or catch up again with them, you can just read it before hand, then when really meet up, can discuss the CORE issues, skip the intro. If all students do the lecture notes before lecture, during lecture, they can teach something matters... handy indeed.

For those who are worried, Aim is fine now, she's no longer on wheel chair and importantly she's BACK TO SYDNEY TODAY.

Aim looks fine even in hospital, don't you think?

NEIGHBOURS [new]

You can learn a lot about your muscles just by visiting the gym two hours a week, that's what I just did. Visiting the Gym in the morning, before I head off to work again. In the short two hours work out, my favourite is ASSISTED CHIN, feels wonderful. Running at 12 km/h is cool, too, wonder if I do it everyday would I beat Kosol in City to Surf under 55 min.

Met Wendy and Fendi at Gym today. Fendi works at E-Commmerce downstairs. The world is such a small place. Cheng, my team mates knows Fendi, Fendi's cousin knows Wendy. And he appeared in one of my photo album without me even knowing it. And Wendy probably doesn't know Fendi or Cheng ... Anyhow, Wendy moved to MEEK street, now we are neighbours. It's great as I might be able to play badminton at week days' nights.

1 2 3 4 5 /sux/

Talking to New Zealanders everyday is something new to me. Remarkably, they all can’t pronounce six properly. Maybe they are laughing at the way we pronounce too. Back to tonight’s topic. WARRANTY EDUCATION.

Soon after the third week, my hundred pages notebook completely run out. Like an infant, every day there are so much to learn. RTB-WTY, DOA Claim, WYSE Terminal, ANRC 4HRS, NBD, ETD, ETA, CITRIX, CLARIFY, MIS, TSD. Today I am going to share.

Now, amazingly we released 79 different models of laptop last year, including BENQ, which we kindly sold out. Years ago, Acer really did create BENQ as its subsidiary. Then they made a lot scanners which we don’t support any more.

In New Zealand, we sell a 4 hours onsite notebook warranty, which is really not realistic. It is so bad, that when customer call, we should already start “DAMANGE CONTROL”, because there is no way, we can guarantee a 4 hours onsite. 79 Laptops, if decomposed, all of its parts would not fit into a van. Onsite technician would not be able to bring all the necessary parts. So in a way, it’s like 20 Minutes PIZZA Delivery Guarantee, but with a clause, we will send a pizza boy to your door in 20 minutes, but we can’t be sure if he brings the right pizza or not. That’s how bad is the 4 hours onsite is, that’s why we should start damage control from the beginning.

Now jump to Which Bank ™, CommSee, the MOST EXPENSIVE SOFTWARE in its class in the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE. It’s a large-scale proprietary software system. Customized software cost a lot, our Clarify CRM developed from Citrix are one of the example. All the repair centre, sales, marketing, inventory, spare parts… use the same system, across borders. Access the information live from everywhere. In a way, Big W’s system is pretty advanced too, if Headquarter update price on one item on central database, our symbol gun would be able to know straight away hence give customer the correct price to customers.

CommSee is for CommSec, in the future, when you speak to a Comm Bank for home loans or investment, CommSee would be able to reveal everything that an account manager to make an ‘informed’ decision. So as you can see, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING HAS FUTURE, it’s just that at the moment, I am not in the loop.

I am tired now, going to sleep soon. 心里想着远方的朋友们,你们此刻在何处呢?Hundred miles away from the warm bed at home going on camp. Can’t wait to hear the stories.

Reply to Anonymous

I am interested in your ACR account, what exactly is that?

- curious investor

Well, first of all. If you remain anonymous, how can I reply to your query. But I guess I can in a way, by posting the answer here. ACR is just another managed fund. Works like term deposit. For deposit 20,000 +, they offer 8.0% per an and 8.5% for 3 years (regardless of market inflation / deflation)

In comparison to ING's variable interest. Which is 5.4% before now up to 5.65% due to market growth. Variable interest is better than locked in rate sometimes. One of my many goals before I reach 30 is, have 100k+ in bank, shares and funds. But even 100k would only yield around 10% a year in most cases.

I used to think if people have 40k a year, it's easy to save 20k a year to your saving account. But how wrong I was, when I receive my first pay cheque. You might only get 32k (in cash) the other 8 goes to tax. No wonder CASH is still the hardest current. So many taxes, start to realise why news paper use Tax Payer, Tax Payer all the time, to trigue our nerves.

"It may cost Tax-Payers million for Mr. Woods operation ..." It makes public feel that they are paying 'quite directly' to Mr. Woods operation. The difference is, if government over spending in China, people wouldn't care that much, maybe because the low Tax Rate, but here, anything!

"News flash: *** Council spent $800 on photoshoot council members portrait. Ms. *** is not happy with the shoot, spent an extra $200 for another shoot. (using Tax Payer's hard earned dollars)." You know all those ... in a way, it's good that pressure the government doing the right thing... ...

Yu... WU...

SWEET MAMA. E-TAX 2005 is a legend (for returning my tax-return in merely 7 days). Many still hard to believe, include myself that I get $5900.00 tax returns in the past 2 financial years. I put them straight into ACR which has a fixed rate @ 8%. I am not kidding. 8% guaranteed.

7 days a week is rewarding in a way when you see the Pay Cheque the following week. ^_^ (Tax is heavy though :( )

A quick note

a customer today called, and unsatisfied. When he is away from the phone, he talks to his friend, "must be an Asian on the phone, ... don't know what he is talking about." - thank God he didn't say that in my face, oh I would bellow: GO TO HELL and EAT YOUR COMPUTER FOR LUNCH. Instead I just pretend I didn't hear it. But was not happy about Asian-comment.

We all know about the "Asian-Female-Driver" one. It typically means parking very slowly, and it has to be nose-face-road. Now, no wonder people does come up a controvercy regarding William Hung. As many American are mocking at middle aged Asian man who can't speak English properly and uncool. This job listens to fair bit of customer complain (like Big W), innevitable anyways. It's important for us to learn how to forget those are un necessary to remember.

Kosol went on adventure

Kosol left on a rainy cold day (which is today) for a 3 day hike. TOUGH, where I'd be sitting inside office. Adventure is FUN, I want to hike TOO, but probably at a warmer season.

SPORTS - have now become an marketing term. For those cars, which doesn't have leather seats, the normal farbric seats are now referred as "Sports Seating". Sports Car makes more sense here. (Look above) Sports Watches are one of the new entry to the SPORTS family. As trendy as it goes, people just think Sports Watch is better... ... But is it really?

Let's have a look at the above sample, SEIKO. Main dial is the time. The big Red hand display seconds in stop watch mode. Top circle displays minutes in stop watch mode. 2nd circle is simply normal second hand. The last one is somewhat useful, 2nd time. But after all, what you can do with this watch is no more than a stopwatch. Regardless, I bought one today after Kosol borrowed my Casio Protrek which measures much more than time: Temp, Pressure, Altitude, Direction ... ...

Saving = Receiving pay cheque and not spending it on things that are not necessities.
What I am doing is = Haven't received pay cheque, already spent on non-necessities. Bad boy. Well, I have been saving for the last 6 months. I always wanted one of those SPORTS watch, so indulge myself once every six months should be moderately acceptable. It can help me:

  • Determine if my pasta is fully cooked.
  • Determine when should I return to my desk to work after my 15 min break.
  • Determine what time is it in London before I call my friends up.
So, even though I don't move faster with this new watch, it'll still be useful in kitchen.

TAS: April - May Shot Review

This is Tasmania. The top is $30 worth of fruit I bought one day prior mum and grandpa arrived Australia in April. Tas is beautiful. I haven't been out for photo shoot for so long. Miss that time. Traveling 7 days a week vs. now working 7 days a week.

NOA $5167.00 (T-Withheld)

I am almost amazed when I find my NOA within a minute. ATO surely has a way to identify its members. No wonder accountant get paid a lot, the amount of work is tedious. One thing I hate the most is gathering documentation. I threw away most of my bills as well as bank statements.

<- Left, Blogger now support UPLOAD photos function. 1st Attempt. A great game, throughly enjoyable.

You can't ensure 100% accuracy when you do your tax return, not even accountants. There are so many documentations and receipts that are impossible to gather them all. $3009.00 estimated return. That always amaze many. But I always get that feeling, I have been taxed a lot while I work at Big W.

爱因斯坦说过:区分人的方法就是看他如何使用他的业余时间。Which is 6pm - 10pm Mon - Sun. I have to do something about it, life's a game, you have to play hard to win.

Staff Discount

A different level of staff discount. I didn't sign the confidential agreement, JUST YET. So, in comparison to Big W's 5 percent. Acer's staff discount is quite huge. (COST PRICE Laptop) Cope that. To illustrate my idea. Have a look at the lovely, powerful, fashionable, Acer Travel Mate Ferrari 4000.

This widescreen beauty has a RRP tag $3999.00

Staff can get one for just under $2000.00

ClarifyCRM, Citrix & Charles

Co-workers being telling me that it's not your average 1st day to meet the chairman of the company. There he is, Charles. Somewhat unexpectedly to be a Taiwanese. (though Acer is a Taiwanese company, but I kinda expect an aussie for this Au / OZ Acer arm.)

So, Charles with his extraordinary 70s hair style giving a speech on Acer's remarkable 58 million sale in June this year. According to the workers, in Australia only Acer and Dell are making profit in PC industry. Where HP and IBM are suffering loss. So what can I say? Being lucky in a growing company.

One of Acer India's head's son is in the same block with me today. (STARTING the same day). He is here to do industry exp for 30 days ish. can hardly imagine his dad commands an powerful arm of Acer India. Maybe I should get close to him and try to get a job in India. (just kidding)

In general, the staff at Acer are very kind and easy talk to. The system is fairly complex at first glance. But then again, it's only been my first day. My department manager is nice. I better be careful. If they do a google search and find this page, they better find something nice about them, or otherwise... I miss ComSec. $23/h + super. You always want something you can't have, don't you?

Did you know that if you call Dell Australia support centre, the workers are actually answer your call from India? In another word, you are actually calling India for help if you have problem with your Dell. By the way, my department is in charge of Acer NZ, we take a lot of calls from NZ. What do you think of 7:00am - 3:30pm. if I take that shift, then i'll need to get out of door 5:30am. 1st day, luckily met enough nice people, the job isn't stressful as I thought.

Oh, I manage to get a photo off Charles, standing in front door of Acer Australia / NZ, Homebush Bay

THE WAR IS OVER!

Just under a month (2/6 - 1/7), an awful period that burns. However, the war is finally over. I am starting as soon as next Monday. My 7 days-a-week life is about to start from Tomorrow.

I mean it changed me in many ways, it does make me think more realistically. Finding a job is not making a website, or sing a song, it's serious business which I should realise AND start when I got my PR in March, not starting from June.

I think I miss blogger than anything else in the last months or two. After all it is a place for me to communicate with the outside in a special way.

7 days a week, yes. That is weekend at Big W, and Mon - Fri @ Acer. I will write more about what actually happened in the last 30 days job hunting journey.

IT'S WAR AGAINST UNEMPLOYMENT!

You heard it right, it's WAR AGAINST UNEMPLOYMENT! To fight this war, there will be sacrafices. I decide to forbid myself 'wasting time' thinking and composing any more posts before I find myself a full time job. I would ban myself from other time assuming activities such as watching Japanese TV Drama, playing War Craft III too, in a bid to concentrate on what I supposed to be doing four months ago.

So ladies and gentleman, GOOD BYE for now. I would see you again with WINNING NEWS! With hope, it'll be in the near future.

Grandparents

This is going to be a rather serious post. Talking about grandparents, at our age, it is more common rather than uncommon to hear from our friend that one or two out of four grandparents they had had passed away. In this regard, JJ and I have been blessed tremendously, as our four grandparents are all alive. JJ's grandparents married young and same applies to JJ's parents, so all four grandparents are still under 80, where 3 out of 4 my grandparents are over 80 now.

Often it is said that it's the quality that matters not the quantity. I always regard natrual death (aged death) the best. Just old enough and die, not because of sickness or accidents. That is best, I'd rather die natrually at 85 vs. die at 95 with lots of medication and sickness.

The society has posted an devious image over cancer. It is not as fearful as HIV postive but have cancer means a lot to the family. Well, in my family, known to me, there is one cancer patient, my aunt, dad's sister. That's about 15 years ago when she has discovered stomach cancer. The doctor simply said, you have 3 years (or 3 months to live, i can't remember exaclty). But guess what, Aunt is still alive and lives well. So what saved her, you are not going to belive that, Qi Gong and her strong belief that she's going to survive. She survived well beyond the doctor's wrongful verdict. I found those things are very hard to tell the patient how long you got left.

Women has Brest Caner to fear, man has prostate pland to worry. There are basic defence we can do from our youth to prevent it, apart from regular exercises, daily adaquate vitamin intake, 2 serves of Fruits & 5 servers of Veges (which most people would not meet such requirements).

But even for JJ and my family, one day, all our grandparents would die. When you realise your grandpa is 83 and you know it by common sense, it's likely he's going to pass away in ten years or so, esp when you consider when he was born the life expectancy is somewhat 60 - 70 for man. I took off work to accompany him to travel, because it might be last time I can accompany him or the last time he can accompany me (according to his health condition). And after I travelled with him, I am stunned by his fitness. Walking hours with me and mum, grandpa is fine, he is surely going to make into his 90s.

However, not all my grandparents are in equal condition, comparatively grandma is over weight and cannot walk for long any more, even though she's younger than grandpa (mum's dad). And Dad's dad, can no longer walk for more than five minutes, even though he does not have cancer, he suffer from prostate gland problems just like any other aged man. The condition has not been optimistic, though not life threatening, but painful to bear.

I have to go back this year, and next year, and every year from now to visit him. Dad said that I should do that, as I don't know exactly when grandpa would go. His vision has blurred, ear can hardly hear (as an old red army, the war has destroyed his hearing, lucky he survived the war and had a chance to raise my dad, aunts and uncle.)

Sometimes I think about whether i can live as long as my grandpa, considering i was born in a period relatively war free, better food and living condition. Who knows, look, i just skipped lunch with two eggs. People nowadays don't look after themsevles very well, skipped meals, work first, not enough nutrition from daily food intake. I would want to suggest everyone have a healthy life style, then look at myself, I can't even do it strictly myself.

So yes, grandparents are old and will pass away. When we are still able to look after them, do visit them more often, for you might not have the opportunity later on. Do treat your parents well too, for they are getting older soon. They gave lots of best of their times in raising you, they should be respected and treated well before they are getting old. All right, the above is my thoughts for now.

A thing is not a written word

that's exactly right. a thing is not a written word. when you send a thing to others, it does not carry any messages, it was just a thing. Say some criminals are forbidden contact some other individuals by court, but it is all right to send that guy a pack of bread. It's just, bread. The law is still intact. ^_^

Wuuu... ...

Well, I didn't see that one coming. Just before I nearly finished my long Sunday at W. I was picking up soft toys off the floor, there are hundreds of them lying on the floor. Picking them up, heads up... BOW WOW, YOAN HOAN! KE CHING! My head hit the shelf (made of non stainless steel)

Like flash of light, I felt heat in my forehead. Instinctively, I knew I was hurt. Like those done in the movies, I used my hand to touch the wound and watch the blood stain the white glove on my right hand (compulsory to wear during night shirt at W). I am fine with blood, I see it very often, so I touched forehead, blood drip down, I walk to the mirror to see, nothing is there.

Seconds later, whe I lift my hair, here it is, about 4 cm cut, scary sight, but I felt fine. So walk to the manager's office, put this fancy head wear on (as shown above) continued my work till finish. Funny thing, on my way back in Kingsford, there are so many people looking at me. Daniel is joking that I just came back from Iraq.

It doesn't hurt any more, I don't know how much longer I have to wear that stuff, lucky mum is not in Sydney, or otherwise, she'd be wanting me to put 10 types of medication on and rest at home all day. EEEL.

By the way, Harry Potter IV's trailer is out. Then they are going to make the HP V (Order of Phoneix, which I still haven't read and lazy enough to wait for the movie to spoil the book for me). Yet, HP VI, (Half Blook Prince) is coming June. Jeepers. ONE LAST BOOK, in HP VII, Harry Potter would die.
