25周年银婚

Yesterday was a beautiful day, apart from the fact that I have to deal with broken washing mahcine and a mini argument I had with mum which lasted till lunch time. But it's all good in the end. 24th of April 1980, dad married mum. AND HE PERMED his hair on his wedding day. That is funny. In China we called it Silver if the marriage lasted 25 years, if 50 years then you can upgrade to gold.

To be gold, not only you and your partner can't divorce in 50 years, both of you have to live to the LE (life expectancy). Say Lockland marry at age of 25. after 50 years it's 75. Jenny was doing Acturial, day and night calculating when people would die. 75 is about world wide men average, 80 is kinda for women. HEY! that's scary, it is saying that in average after marrying 50 years you are going to die (for men), that's not fun at all. Above Gold, there is DIAMOND which is at 60 years. This time you have to be fit.

AMAZINGLY, Grandpa and Grandma is only 5 years away from Diamond! and he married at the age of 29. That sounds really good, considering someone told me 1 in 4 Australian Couple ended in Divorce. It is saying 1 in eight friends you know would divorce in your life time. Can I safely say, that among, Kosol, Peter, Jenny, Tom, Matt, John, Mincong, Annie. One of them would divorce. um... statistic is scary sometimes, isn't it?


I still amazed how fit Grandpa is at 83, walking whole day long with me and mum. At manly, a small coffee shop on the hill foot.
