Silly Bet

Dated back before the exam took place, having lunch with an old friend who's doing law/acturial. Well, I bought a small bottle, she asked why don't you buy the big bottle, i said, no way i can finish 1L. She went, it can't be 1L. She suggested we should bet, she said, it's 500ml, and I said 1000ml. The rule is: whose figure is close to the real amount then the other party will pay for the big bottle. Then guess what, the big one is exact 500ml. I end up paying for both bottles. Err. The small one holds 250, the big one holds 500ml, bit unproportional to me.


a week later, i am having lunch with another friend, this time the bet is different. i bet, that i can taste the difference between austrlia's franklin soda water with French's Pierre soda water. both are chilled in the fridge, same temp... and she pour them into different glasses while i close my eyes. AND THIS TIME, i won, my taste bud successfully distinguish the two. Even though they are very close, very close in the first taste, but taste different when you swallow them.

now i am going to tell you, i can easily close my eyes and tell you which one is Evian / Franklin / Tab Water. Easy. I can probably tell up to four five categories of 'pure water' categroy water. They do taste different, but some might not belive me till they test me in person. we'll see. ^_^
