A minor niggle

Next weekend is the last surfing contest and he needs you to take photos of all the surfers he has not been able to get shots of throughout the year for him for his presentation CD. I know you usually work on Sundays but he is willing to pay you something plus I know he really needs you.

The above is an email I received last week. I have been working the Sunday shift every single weekend for monhts now. @24 an hour I am always glad to go to work on Sunday. But because for the email, for the first time I said no to my employer, and spent some time talking to my manager that my future Sunday shifts are not affected. After which I am ready to take photos on Sunday. informed on Saturday, not to mention the payment. Of course, you can't measure friendship using money, but asking someone to do you a favour losing one day's income and cancle in the end within a day, that's ... I did not complain in front of my friend, I merely said "it's cool." But inside, I am little mad as at least you can say sorry about it. I know no one enjoy reading complaints, but I have to, this is my blog a place where my happniess, sadness, concerns, joys, thoughts, ideas and complaints live. It helps me greatly whether I am happy or sad. It's a like a great friend who listens to my life. see why I am appreciating those who do read my blog. (no. of which has now dropped below 3)
